Summary

Overview We are looking for a Google Slides course developer with strong instructional design, visual design, and virtual training experience. The ideal developer can turn complex course content into clear, branded, accessible, Zoom-ready learning materials, including slides, facilitator notes, learner workbooks, activities, quizzes, case studies, and post-course resources. They must be comfortable working within templates and brand guidelines, aligning content to learning outcomes and assessment requirements, and producing materials that are practical, polished, editable, and ready for live delivery. Scope of work - Develop slide decks using provided content outlines and templates - Translate written content into clear, concise slides - Integrate visuals, icons, tables, diagrams, and activity slides - Ensure consistency with brand guidance and learning outcomes - Use business-level (C1) Irish/UK English - Collaborate with in-house instructional designer for review and QA References - Provide examples of training slide decks and similar work; preferably in Google Slides Learning content language English; must be Fluent or better; C1 preferred Course subject Variety; mostly business topics or soft skills Ideal candidate Skills and experience: 1. Advanced Google Slides design skills Confident in creating polished, editable slide decks using Google Slides themes, master layouts, guides, alignment tools, reusable components, and consistent formatting. 2. Strong visual design judgement Able to create clean, modern, professional slides with strong hierarchy, spacing, contrast, and balance. They should know how to avoid clutter and make slides easy to follow over Zoom. 3. Experience designing virtual instructor-led training materials. Understands that live Zoom slides are not documents. They should know how to design slides that support facilitation, interaction, pacing, and learner engagement. 4. Instructional design experience Can structure content around learning outcomes, activities, knowledge checks, reflection, practice, and application rather than simply turning content into slides. 5. Strong understanding of UDL principles in theory and practice. Proven ability to apply them when designing inclusive, accessible instruction for diverse audience of learners. 6. Experience with accredited or assessment-led courses Ideally familiar with QQI, NFQ Level 6, or similar accredited learning environments where slides, workbooks, and activities must support assessment preparation without giving learners answers. 7. Ability to write clear facilitator notes Can write useful speaker notes that include timings, key teaching points, questions to ask, activity setup, debrief prompts, Zoom instructions, and assessment links. 8. Learner workbook and handout development Able to create learner-facing workbooks, worksheets, templates, checklists, case studies, and post-course resources that align with the slide deck. 9. Activity and interaction design Skilled at designing breakout room tasks, polls, chat prompts, quizzes, case studies, individual reflection tasks, group discussions, and practical exercises with clear instructions and outputs. 10. Accessibility and inclusive design awareness Understands accessible slide design, including colour contrast, readable font sizes, plain English, alt text, inclusive examples, and avoiding colour-only meaning. 11. Brand consistency and template discipline Able to follow brand guidelines closely, use approved colours and typography, maintain consistency across decks, and avoid introducing unapproved styles or layouts. 12. Strong content editing and simplification skills Can take dense SME content and turn it into clear, concise, learner-friendly slides without losing accuracy or meaning. 13. Excellent file management and QA habits Reliable with version control, naming conventions, editable source files, link checking, slide testing, workbook alignment, and pre-submission quality checks.
