Government Contracting Consultant

We run an academy that teaches people how to do business with the federal government. Our students are mostly brokers, with some established businesses in the mix, and most are very ground level in GovCon. We're looking for a consultant to work with them on an hourly basis. What you'd be doing Taking one-on-one meetings with students, scheduled by us Hosting pre-bid strategy sessions to help them decide what to go after and how to approach it Giving each student a clear strategic path forward from wherever they currently are Answering practical questions on registrations, set-asides, solicitations, teaming, and past performance We handle scheduling, student communication, and everything on the administrative side. You show up and advise. Who we're looking for Real federal contracting experience, whether on the government side (contracting officer, contract specialist, program office) or the industry side (capture, BD, proposals, small business owner who has won awards) Comfortable working with beginners without talking over their heads Able to give direction rather than just information, since most students need someone to tell them what to do next Reliable on scheduled calls Nice to have Experience with SDVOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, or WOSB set-aside pathways Familiarity with SAM.gov, DIBBS, and solicitation review Background coaching or teaching, not just doing Details Hourly. Volume is flexible and can grow depending on fit. This is an ongoing role, not a one-off project.
