About Us We are a nonprofit initiative dedicated to bringing hands-on STEM education to underserved communities through immersive, narrative-driven programming — including STEM kits, AR/VR experiences, and workshop curricula. We are currently formalizing our 501(c)(3) status and building a funding pipeline through federal, state, and private grant sources in the STEM/education space. Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Grant Development Manager to lead our grant strategy from research through submission and reporting. This role is central to unlocking the funding that will power our STEM education programming, workshops, and community partnerships. You'll work closely with our Founder/CEO, COO, and STEM Education Partner to translate our mission and programs into competitive, compliant grant applications. Key Responsibilities - Research and identify federal, state, and private foundation grant opportunities aligned with our STEM education and community mission - Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials - Develop budgets and budget narratives in coordination with our finance team - Track application deadlines, requirements, and submission logistics - Manage post-award compliance, reporting, and renewal processes - Collaborate with program staff and STEM education partners to translate program design into funder-ready language and outcome metrics - Maintain a grants calendar and pipeline tracker - Support fiscal sponsorship and 501(c)(3) grant-readiness requirements as needed Required Qualifications - **Proven track record of successfully securing grants** — please include specific examples of grants you have written and secured, including funding source, award amount, and your role in the process - 3+ years of experience in nonprofit grant writing/development, ideally with federal and/or STEM/education-focused funders - Strong understanding of 501(c)(3) compliance, budget narratives, and logic models - Excellent written communication skills and ability to translate program vision into funder-aligned language - Experience with grant management/tracking systems - Self-directed and comfortable working in a fractional/contract capacity with a growing organization ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with federal, state, or private STEM/arts education funding sources - Experience working with fiscally sponsored or newly-formed nonprofits - Familiarity with Newark/NJ community and education funding landscape To Apply Please submit: 1.
