Grant Research for Documentary

We are seeking a skilled freelancer to assist with grant research, grant writing, and funding strategy for an international documentary project. The documentary will follow a National Geographic-style format, traveling around the world to capture Indigenous tribes and cultures with a specific mission. The ideal candidate will have proven experience identifying and securing grants for documentary filmmaking, cultural, educational, scientific, or international media projects. Experience raising funding for productions of this scale is highly preferred. Responsibilities include researching grant opportunities, preparing and submitting competitive grant applications, developing a funding strategy, and ensuring all submissions meet eligibility requirements and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated track record of successful grant funding are essential. Our objective is to secure the capital required to finance the documentary by the first quarter of 2027 (Q1 2027).
