Our team helps clients identify, pursue, secure, and manage funding for initiatives involving education, healthcare, housing, infrastructure, workforce development, and community impact. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to support the development of competitive grant proposals for government, foundation, and institutional funding opportunities. The Grant Writer will collaborate with project leads, clients, and internal team members to create clear, persuasive, and compliant applications that align with funder requirements and client goals. This position requires excellent writing, research, organization, communication, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Write and edit grant proposals, letters of intent, concept papers, narratives, and supporting documents. Review grant guidelines, Requests for Proposals, and Notices of Funding Opportunity to ensure compliance. Develop compelling need statements, project descriptions, goals, objectives, outcomes, and evaluation plans. Gather program information, data, budgets, timelines, and required documentation from clients and team members. Conduct research to support community needs, project strategies, evidence-based approaches, and funder alignment. Ensure proposal materials are accurate, persuasive, organized, and responsive to all application requirements. Maintain organized files, drafts, notes, and document versions throughout the proposal process. Participate in revisions, quality reviews, and final proposal preparation. Communicate progress, risks, missing information, and upcoming deadlines to project leadership. Support post-award reports, grant updates, and related writing assignments when needed. Qualifications Demonstrated experience writing grants, proposals, RFP responses, or funding applications. Strong professional writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills. Ability to interpret complex funding guidelines and follow detailed instructions. Excellent attention to detail and deadline management. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate within a remote team. Experience with federal, state, local government, foundation, education, healthcare, housing, workforce, or nonprofit grants is preferred. Familiarity with grant budgets, logic models, performance measures, compliance, or evaluation plans is a plus. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, responsive, organized, and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines. They understand that successful grant writing requires more than strong writing. It requires strategic thinking, research, compliance, accuracy, collaboration, and the ability to clearly communicate a client’s needs and proposed solutions. The candidate must be open to feedback and committed to producing high-quality, funder-ready work. Work Expectations Remote and deadline-driven work environment. Timely communication through email and project management systems. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines. Willingness to follow established templates, processes, and quality standards. Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, professionalism, and excellent client service. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, assignment type, and project scope. Engagements may be hourly, project-based, part-time, or contract-based.
