Grant Writer

I'm an independent director and producer seeking an experienced grant writer to help secure funding for upcoming short film projects. The primary focus will be applications for: * Canada Council for the Arts * Telefilm Canada – Development Program * Ontario Arts Council – Media Artists Creation Projects * Toronto Arts Council – Media Artists Program: Creation * Ontario Creates – Intellectual Property Fund (Linear Content Stream) Responsibilities * Research eligibility and requirements for targeted funding programs * Write and edit compelling grant applications and project proposals * Help communicate the artistic vision, cultural value, and production plans for each project * Organize application materials and manage submission deadlines * Collaborate with me to develop supporting materials and strengthen applications What I'll Provide I believe grant writing is a collaborative process and will provide as much support as needed throughout each application. Available materials include: * Finished scripts * Pitch decks * Attached cast and key creative talent * Post-production team attachments * Project treatments and creative vision * Supporting materials and visual references Budgets will be developed collaboratively as part of the application process. Ideal Candidate * Experience writing successful grants in the Canadian film, television, or arts sector * Familiarity with Canada Council, Telefilm, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, and Ontario Creates funding programs * Strong writing, research, and organizational skills * Interest in independent filmmaking and artist-driven projects To Apply Send whatever you'd like that helps demonstrate your experience and approach.
