Graphic Designer Needed to Refine & Polish Embroidery-Ready Hat Designs (Ongoing, Project-Based)

Project Overview I run a baseball hat company featuring original, unique graphics that get embroidered onto the hats. I already have the core designs/renderings worked out — I'm not looking for someone to create concepts from scratch. Instead, I need a skilled designer to take my existing artwork and elevate it: tightening up lines, improving proportions and balance, refining color choices, and adding a touch of creative flair so each design looks more professional and embroidery-ready. This is a project-by-project arrangement (you'll be paid per design, not a retainer), but I'm looking to build an ongoing working relationship with one designer I can send new designs to on a recurring basis as my product line grows. What You'll Be Doing Reviewing my existing hat graphic renderings and identifying opportunities to clean up and elevate the design Refining linework, shapes, and proportions so the design translates well to embroidery (limited color palettes, thread density, stitch direction considerations) Adjusting color palettes to ones that embroider well and look polished Adding subtle creative touches/flair that enhance the design without changing its core concept or original idea Delivering print/embroidery-ready files (vector format preferred) at the appropriate size for hat placement Providing a couple of revision rounds per design based on my feedback What I'm NOT Looking For Someone to come up with original design concepts — I already have the core ideas/renderings Full rebrands or logo design from scratch Ideal Skills & Experience Strong graphic design portfolio, ideally with apparel, merch, or embroidery-related work Experience designing for embroidery specifically (understanding of stitch limitations, color/thread constraints, minimum detail size) is a big plus Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar vector software Good eye for clean linework and balanced composition Reliable communication and ability to turn around revisions in a reasonable timeframe Deliverables (per project) Final polished design file in vector format (AI, EPS, or SVG) A flattened PNG/JPG preview for my approval before final delivery Source file so I retain full ownership/rights to the artwork Budget & Engagement Paid per design/project (fixed price per project, open to quotes) Ongoing work for the right fit — I'll have new designs to send over regularly as the product line expands Looking to establish a long-term working relationship with one designer rather than a single one-off project To Apply, Please Include A link to your portfolio, especially any embroidery, apparel, or merch design work Your typical turnaround time for a single design revision Your pricing structure for this type of work (per design/per hour) A short note on your experience designing artwork specifically for embroidery (if any)
