Graphic Designer Needed for Professional Two-Sided Rack Card

## **Project Overview** We are looking for an experienced graphic designer to create a polished, professional two-sided rack card for an established funeral and cremation service provider in Canada. The rack card will promote a professionally designed venue used for Celebrations of Life and memorial gatherings. The identity of the organization and the complete project materials will be provided to the selected designer. ## **Materials We Will Provide** We will provide: * The printer’s rack card template and required dimensions * Final, pre-written copy for both sides of the card * Professional photographs of the venue and surrounding property * The organization’s logo and branding materials * Brand colours and visual references * Any additional contact information or required design elements The supplied wording is already approved and should be incorporated as written. Minor typographical or formatting recommendations may be discussed, but the designer should not substantially rewrite the copy. ## **Design Direction** The finished rack card should feel: * Warm and compassionate * Professional and trustworthy * Elegant without feeling overly formal * Modern, comfortable and welcoming * Appropriate for families planning a Celebration of Life * Consistent with the organization’s established branding The design should not feel dark, sombre, overly traditional or crowded. Photography should play an important role in the design. The designer will need to incorporate several professional images while maintaining strong readability, visual balance and a clear hierarchy. ## **Scope of Work** The designer will be responsible for: * Designing both sides of the rack card * Creating an attractive layout using the supplied text and photographs * Selecting appropriate typography * Establishing a clear visual hierarchy * Ensuring the contact information and call to action are prominent * Following the supplied printer template * Preparing the final artwork for professional commercial printing ## **Required Deliverables** * Completed two-sided rack card design * Print-ready, high-resolution PDF * Editable source file * CMYK colour format * Correct bleed, trim and safe margins * High-resolution photography suitable for printing * Packaged or properly linked design assets * Outlined or packaged fonts, where appropriate * A lower-resolution PDF or image proof for review * Up to two reasonable rounds of revisions The editable file should preferably be created in Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator. Please identify the software you intend to use when applying. ## **Ideal Designer** The ideal designer will have: * Experience designing rack cards, brochures or similar print materials * A strong portfolio of clean and professional print design * Experience combining photography and written content * Knowledge of commercial print-production requirements * Strong typography, spacing and layout skills * Experience creating tasteful materials for sensitive or service-based industries Experience with funeral service, healthcare, senior services, hospitality, event venues or related industries would be helpful but is not required. ## **When Applying** Please include: 1.
