Graphic Designer - Technical Infographics - Maritime Autonomy / Defense

Project Overview We're an autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) company working at the intersection of maritime technology and defense. We need a skilled graphic designer to create professional, technically accurate concept of operations (con-ops) graphics depicting real-world maritime autonomy scenarios. This is an initial engagement with strong potential for ongoing, recurring work. What You'll Be Creating Con-ops graphics that visually communicate how our autonomous vessels operate in real mission scenarios including asset positioning, mission flow, environmental context, and system interaction. These graphics are used in proposals, presentations, and marketing materials and need to look sharp, accurate, and credible to a technical and defense audience. Ideal Candidate Strong portfolio in technical illustration, defense graphics, or government/aerospace/maritime infographics Experience designing for defense primes, government contractors, or federal agencies is a significant plus Able to take rough inputs (sketches, PowerPoints, written descriptions) and produce polished, publication-ready graphics Understands visual storytelling for operational scenarios not just aesthetics, but accuracy and clarity Comfortable working under NDAs and with sensitive-adjacent subject matter Fast turnaround capability when needed Engagement Details Initial project to assess fit and quality Strong potential for recurring work across multiple projects Responsive communication and ability to iterate quickly are essential To Apply Please share portfolio examples most relevant to this work particularly any defense, aerospace, maritime, or technical illustration projects.
