Graphic Designer for Occasional Work Long Term
Worldwide
Graphic Designer (Part-Time / Ongoing Freelance) We’re looking for a talented graphic designer to become part of our extended creative team on an ongoing basis. This is not a one-time project. We’re looking for someone we can build a long-term working relationship with as our design needs continue to grow. We’re not necessarily looking for the most experienced designer—we’re looking for someone dependable, responsive, and committed to building a long-term working relationship while producing high-quality business graphics. About the Role On average, you can expect approximately 5–10 hours of work per week, although this will fluctuate. Some weeks may have little or no work, while other weeks may be busier. Because of this, we’re looking for someone who has other clients or projects, but who also has enough availability to consistently take on our work when needed. This role is ideal for a freelancer looking to add a dependable recurring client to their workload rather than someone seeking full-time hours. Typical Projects Our work includes a wide variety of business marketing materials, such as: * Social media graphics * LinkedIn and YouTube thumbnails * Presentation graphics * Business cards * Letterhead and stationery * Brochures and flyers * Trade show materials * Infographics * Marketing collateral * Website graphics * Digital advertisements * Simple branding updates * Miscellaneous business graphics Most projects are straightforward, clearly defined, and business-focused. Turnaround Expectations Responsiveness is very important to us. While we understand everyone has multiple commitments, we’d generally like completed work returned within 24–72 hours whenever possible. Larger or more complex projects can certainly have longer timelines, but most of our requests are relatively small. Our clients typically expect deliverables within a business week, so reliable communication and meeting agreed-upon deadlines are essential. If something will take longer than expected, we simply ask that you communicate with us. We’d much rather know in advance than be left wondering. Software We’re flexible regarding the tools you use. Our team commonly works with: * Adobe Creative Cloud * Canva If a project requires future edits (for example, business cards, stationery, branded templates, or other reusable assets), we’ll ask that you provide the editable source files. Otherwise, standard export files (PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG, etc.) are typically sufficient. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: * Dependable and responsive * Produces clean, professional business designs that communicate effectively * Communicates proactively and consistently * Organized and able to manage multiple small requests * Comfortable receiving constructive feedback and making revisions * Interested in building a long-term working relationship Communication and reliability are just as important to us as design talent. We’d rather work with a designer who consistently communicates, meets deadlines, and builds a long-term relationship than someone with an incredible portfolio who is difficult to reach or misses deadlines. What Success Looks Like The ideal designer will: * Respond to messages within one business day. * Communicate early if a deadline needs to change. * Complete most small projects within 24–72 hours. * Become familiar with our brands so less direction is needed over time. * Take ownership of projects and help us improve our creative materials. * Enjoy building a long-term relationship rather than treating every assignment as a one-off project. Long-Term Opportunity We are looking for a long-term creative partner, not simply someone to complete individual projects. As our business continues to grow, we’d love to work with someone who becomes familiar with our brands, understands our style, and becomes a trusted extension of our team. Our Hiring Process Because we’re looking for a long-term relationship, we don’t hire based solely on portfolios. We plan to invite several qualified applicants to complete a small paid trial project. Every designer selected for the trial will be compensated for their time. After reviewing the quality of the work, communication, responsiveness, ability to follow instructions, and overall working experience, we’ll choose the designer who is the best long-term fit for our team. Please don’t be discouraged if you’re not the most experienced applicant. We’re placing just as much emphasis on professionalism, communication, reliability, and long-term compatibility as we are on design skills. To Apply Please include: * A portfolio of your work (business-focused work preferred) * A brief description of your design experience * Your preferred design software * Your hourly rate Please also answer the following questions: 1. How many ongoing clients do you currently work with? 2. Approximately how many hours per week do you realistically have available? 3. If we sent you a typical project today, how soon would you normally be able to begin working on it? 4. What is your typical turnaround time for a small project? 5. Tell us about a long-term client relationship you’ve had. What made it successful, and why did it last? We look forward to finding someone who can become an important part of our creative team for years to come.
