Growth Product Designer (B2B SaaS Marketplace) We're building an AI-powered hiring marketplace that helps eCommerce brands hire world-class marketing talent. We're looking for a product designer who enjoys solving business problems, not just designing interfaces. Your primary responsibility will be improving product activation, engagement, and retention. We'll share the problems we're seeing (low activation, drop-offs, confusing UX, poor conversion, etc.), and you'll propose improvements backed by thoughtful product thinking. Once we've aligned on a direction, you'll create high-quality Figma designs ready for engineering. This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work directly with the founders. What You'll Do: - Understand product problems through metrics and user behavior. - Suggest improvements to onboarding, activation, messaging, search, matching, subscriptions, and hiring flows. - Design complete user flows and polished Figma mockups. - Think through edge cases and interactions. - Help us prioritize experiments that are likely to improve activation and retention. - Iterate quickly based on feedback. - Occasionally review analytics or user feedback to identify opportunities. We're Looking For Someone Who: - Has 2-4 years of product design experience. - Has designed B2B SaaS products, marketplaces, or workflow tools. - Understands activation, retention, conversion funnels, and product-led growth. - Can explain *why* they're recommending a particular design, not just *what* it looks like. - Is comfortable owning ambiguous product problems. - Produces clean, developer-friendly Figma files. Nice to Have: - Experience improving marketplace liquidity or two-sided marketplaces. - Experience with hiring, recruiting, HR, or freelancer platforms. - Familiarity with Mixpanel or similar analytics tools. - Experience collaborating directly with founders at early-stage startups. Example Problems You'll Work On: - Increase the percentage of paying clients who make their first hire. - Improve onboarding and reduce drop-off. - Help clients discover the right freelancers faster. - Increase response rates between clients and freelancers. - Improve messaging and scheduling flows. - Design experiments to improve activation and long-term retention.
