Guangzhou Fabric Sourcing Agent — Japanese Wool Textile (Luxury Womenswear Brand)

I am the founder of ALBADRA, a luxury womenswear label launching in London in early 2027. I am looking for an experienced, bilingual (English and Mandarin/Cantonese) fabric sourcing agent based in or near Guangzhou, China to help me identify and source premium 100% natural fibre wool fabrics, specifically Japanese milled wool gabardine, wool crepe and wool suiting fabrics for my first collection. This is an immediate project with potential for an ongoing relationship as the brand grows. What I need 1. Visit Zhongda Fabric Market (or equivalent premium fabric sourcing areas in Guangzhou/Guangdong) to identify vendors selling Japanese milled wool gabardine or wool crepe 2. Fabric specification: 100% wool only, no polyester or synthetic blends of any kind. Weight 280–360gsm. Bishu region Japanese mills preferred (Miyuki Keori, Niwasho, Takisada Nagoya). Must be able to provide mill certification documents confirming origin and composition 3. Send physical swatches by post to a London UK address so I can assess weight, drape, and handle before making any decision 4. Photograph each fabric alongside its bolt label showing composition and origin, and send to me digitally 5. Obtain trade pricing per metre at MOQs of 50m, 100m, and 500m from each vendor 6. Identify a minimum of 3–5 options across different weights and finishes for me to compare Important requirements — Fluent in both English and Mandarin or Cantonese — Cantonese preferred given Guangdong location — Previous experience sourcing premium or luxury fashion fabrics, not general merchandise — Familiarity with Zhongda fabric market or equivalent Guangzhou/Guangdong sourcing areas — Understanding of fabric composition, weight, and quality assessment — must be able to distinguish genuine natural fibre from synthetic blends — Ability to arrange posting of physical fabric swatches to London UK promptly after the market visit — Available to complete the market visit within the next month. Scope and budget This is a short project, approximately one day of market sourcing, photography, and swatch posting. I am also planning to visit Guangzhou and Guangdong myself in September 2026 and would welcome the possibility of working together in person at that stage as well.
