HVAC / Sheet Metal Estimators: $200 for a 1-Hour Interview

We're a software company building AI-powered takeoff tools for HVAC and sheet metal contractors Who we're looking for - Estimators, chief estimators, or owners at commercial HVAC or sheet metal contracting companies - You bid commercial projects regularly (office buildings, healthcare, industrial, retail, institutional) - You have hands-on experience with at least one of: Trimble AutoBid SheetMetal, FastDUCT (FastEST), QuoteSoft Duct, or Wendes - You're based in the US We'll ask about: - How you currently do takeoffs and estimates, and a walkthrough of your process start to finish - A past takeoff + estimate from a real project (screen share: redacted/sanitized is fine, we care about process, not dollar amounts) - How you take off ductwork (sizing, gauge, fittings) and equipment - How you use your item database, labor units (SMACNA), and material pricing - How you handle shop fabrication vs. field installation labor Where the biggest time sinks are in your workflow Ideal candidates: - 5+ years of commercial HVAC or sheet metal estimating experience - Bid multiple jobs per week - Hold or have used SMACNA labor units - Comfortable screen-sharing To apply, please briefly answer: - What's your role and what type of company do you work for? - Which estimating software have you used hands-on, and for how many years? - Do you estimate ductwork/sheet metal, hydronic piping, or both? - What types of commercial projects do you primarily bid? - Can you share a redacted past takeoff + estimate on a screen share?
