Summary

We are an innovative skincare technology company developing a next-generation facial device that combines 432 Hz frequency technology with LED light therapy and microcurrent stimulation in a wearable facial mask. We're looking for an experienced hardware engineer to own the complete hardware development lifecycle — from architecture and circuit design through PCB layout, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support. What you'll build A battery-powered, app-connected facial mask that delivers: LED light therapy (multi-wavelength) modulated at 432 Hz Microcurrent facial stimulation with 432 Hz waveform generation BLE connectivity for app control and treatment tracking Safe, skin-contact operation in a comfortable wearable form factor Some similar link attached: 1. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYZCVYQV?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback&th=1 2. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-microcurrent-facial-devices/ Key responsibilities Develop the hardware architecture from concept through production Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics (LED drivers, precision current sources, battery management) Create schematics and multilayer PCB layouts (rigid and rigid-flex) using Altium, KiCad, or equivalent Optimize for signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, and EMC/EMI compliance Support prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and validation Prepare production documentation: BOM, Gerbers, assembly drawings, test procedures Coordinate with PCB fabricators and contract manufacturers Collaborate with our software, product, and manufacturing teams Required experience Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field 7+ years in hardware development and PCB design Strong expertise in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, KiCad, or equivalent Complex multilayer PCB design experience (6–16+ layers) Deep knowledge of analog design, power electronics, SI/PI, EMC/EMI, and thermal design Hardware interfaces: USB, SPI, I²C, UART, BLE Proven experience taking products from concept to production Preferred ARM-based embedded systems and firmware collaboration experience BLE/wireless design (nRF52 or similar) Wearable, medical, or skin-contact consumer device background Knowledge of IEC 60601-2-10 or similar skin-contact safety standards FCC/CE/UL regulatory compliance experience Rigid-flex PCB design experience IPC standards and DFM/DFA knowledge To apply, please answer this question in your proposal: How would you approach developing a device that converts 432 Hz frequencies for skin application through LEDs, or integrates 432 Hz frequency technology with microcurrent stimulation in a facial mask? Describe your proposed hardware architecture, key components, and the main technical challenges you'd anticipate across design, engineering, and development.
