Hardware Development Program Manager | Mechanical Product Development

We are developing a patent-pending modular hardware product and are looking for a part-time Product Development Program Manager to help coordinate the engineering and product development process. This is not a design engineer role and it is not a traditional product manager role. The primary responsibility is keeping technical development moving forward by coordinating engineers, consultants, prototypes, testing, and related activities. Current Priorities Tier 1 (Most Critical) Coordinate activities related to: Mechanical engineering and CAD development Design revisions and documentation FEA / structural analysis Prototype development and testing Patent support documentation Manufacturing readiness Tier 2 (Important) Maintain project timelines Track deliverables and dependencies Coordinate communication between engineers, consultants, and leadership Identify bottlenecks and keep projects moving Organize revisions and technical documentation Provide concise weekly status updates Tier 3 (Nice to Have) Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not the immediate focus: Vendor management Manufacturing sourcing Procurement and RFQs Packaging development Quality systems Supply chain coordination Warehouse and fulfillment planning Ideal Experience Hardware product development Mechanical or industrial products Engineering program management Prototype-to-production projects Manufacturing and DFM exposure Working with engineers, CAD files, testing resources, and technical consultants Hidden Attention Check: Somewhere in your proposal, include the word "Torque" naturally in a sentence.
