Posted 2 weeks ago

Worldwide

Summary

We are developing a new commercial hardware product and are seeking an experienced hardware engineer to help convert an existing proof-of-concept prototype into a production-ready design. The product currently functions using development boards, sensors, and supporting modules. We are now looking for an engineer who can help consolidate the system into a custom PCB suitable for manufacturing and commercial deployment. The ideal candidate has experience with: • Embedded hardware development • Custom PCB design • Battery-powered electronics • Low-power design techniques • Wireless communication systems • Sensor integration • Design for manufacturability (DFM) • Prototype testing and validation Expected deliverables may include: • Schematics • PCB layout • Component selection • BOM creation • Manufacturing files (Gerbers) • Design documentation • Prototype revision support This project will consist of multiple development phases and additional products are planned. The initial engagement will focus on a single device, with follow-on work available for the right candidate. IMPORTANT: Due to the proprietary nature of this project, all applicants selected for interviews will be required to execute a mutual NDA prior to receiving technical specifications, design documents, or project details. When applying, please include: 1. Examples of similar products you have designed. 2. Experience taking products from prototype through manufacturing. 3. Experience with battery-operated and wireless devices. 4. Preferred PCB design software. 5. Hourly rate and availability. We are looking for a long-term engineering partner, not simply a PCB draftsman.
