# Head of Trading & Algorithmic Strategy Manager — $10,000 Trading Account **Company:** DBIPCorp (Pty) Ltd **Engagement:** Performance-based / ongoing **Capital Under Management:** USD $10,000 **Compensation:** **20% of realised trading profits** **Location:** Remote ## About the Role DBIPCorp is seeking an experienced **Head of Trading** to manage a dedicated **$10,000 live trading account** and take responsibility for the effective deployment, monitoring and optimisation of our trading strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to combine **professional discretionary trading** with the effective use of **algorithmic trading robots and trading signals**. We are looking for a trader who can demonstrate that they can **perform within defined risk parameters**, rather than simply generate aggressive short-term returns. ## Key Responsibilities * Manage the allocated $10,000 trading account. * Execute discretionary trades using approved strategies and signals. * Monitor, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of trading robots. * Determine when robot strategies should be activated, reduced, paused or adjusted based on market conditions. * Incorporate external trading signals into the overall trading process where appropriate. * Conduct market analysis across relevant FX and commodity markets. * Identify opportunities that automated strategies may miss. * Monitor open positions, exposure, correlation and margin utilisation. * Maintain strict adherence to DBIPCorp's risk-management parameters. * Keep accurate trading records and provide regular performance reporting. * Review robot performance and identify opportunities for optimisation. * Provide recommendations regarding strategy allocation, instruments and risk settings. * Escalate unusual market conditions, technical issues or significant drawdowns immediately. ## Trading Philosophy We are **not looking for a trader who simply takes maximum risk to maximise short-term returns**. The objective is to develop a sustainable trading operation capable of scaling as additional capital becomes available. The successful candidate must therefore demonstrate: **Capital preservation → disciplined execution → consistent performance → controlled scaling.** Trading outside the agreed risk parameters will not be acceptable. ## Signals & Trading Robots DBIPCorp will have access to trading signals and algorithmic strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to **evaluate and use these tools intelligently**, rather than blindly following them. You will have discretion to determine whether a signal or automated strategy should be acted upon, subject to the agreed trading mandate and risk controls. **Signals are a resource, not a substitute for trading competence.** We expect the Head of Trading to improve the effectiveness of the overall trading system through appropriate monitoring, filtering, timing and risk management. ## Compensation The position is primarily **performance-based**. ### Trader receives: **20% of realised trading profits** subject to the final agreement and applicable trading/risk-management conditions. For example, if the account generates **$5,000 in realised net profit**, the trader's performance allocation would be **$1,000**, subject to the agreed terms. A **high-water-mark principle** may be incorporated so that performance compensation is based on new realised profits rather than recovering previous losses. There is **no guaranteed profit or guaranteed minimum payment**. ## Risk Management Strict risk parameters will be established before trading begins. The trader will be expected to operate within: * Maximum risk per trade; * Maximum daily drawdown; * Maximum weekly drawdown; * Maximum account drawdown; * Maximum aggregate open exposure; * Maximum leverage/margin utilisation; * Approved instruments and strategies. The exact parameters will be agreed during onboarding. **Risk management compliance is a condition of the engagement.** A trader who generates high returns by materially exceeding the agreed risk parameters will **not** be considered successful. ## Required Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated experience in: * Forex trading; * Gold and commodities; * CFD trading; * Algorithmic/EA trading; * Signal-based trading; * Portfolio or account management; * Risk management; * MetaTrader 4/5; * Evaluating automated trading systems; * Managing live capital. ## Preferred Qualifications Strong candidates should be able to provide: * Verified trading history; * Myfxbook, MQL5, FXBlue or equivalent independently verifiable results; * Previous live-account performance; * Maximum historical drawdown; * Profit factor; * Recovery factor; * Average risk/reward; * Maximum consecutive losses; * Evidence of disciplined risk management. We are far more interested in **verified live performance and risk discipline** than screenshots of individual winning trades. ## Important This is **not a signal-selling position**. It is **not a position for someone who wants to gamble a $10,000 account**.
