Summary

Bedspoke is a fast-growing bespoke furniture business serving private clients, interior designers, studios, developers and hospitality customers across the UK and Europe. Our production is based in Riga, with commercial activity across multiple European markets. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and highly structured Head of Operations & Growth who can help take Bedspoke from a founder-led business to a scalable international company. This is a builder role, not a maintenance role. You will be expected to solve problems personally when needed, create systems where none exist, bring commercial discipline to the business and build the team and infrastructure required for the next stage of growth. The Role You will own and connect the core operating engine of the company: sales, production, logistics, delivery, finance and internal systems. You will work closely with the founders and the Baltics production team, while also taking a hands-on role in scaling revenue and building B2B relationships across the UK and Europe. What You Will Own Operations & Scaling • Own the end-to-end operating process from confirmed order through production, logistics, installation and final customer delivery. • Build clear processes, documentation, SOPs, dashboards, KPIs and accountability across the business. • Improve production planning, capacity management, quality control and on-time delivery at the Riga factory. • Identify bottlenecks quickly and solve them before they become customer or cash-flow problems. • Build and manage a strong operational team and create a reliable talent pipeline for key factory and logistics roles. • Introduce scalable systems without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. Sales & Commercial Growth • Run and continuously improve the sales process: lead management, follow-up discipline, conversion, forecasting and sales reporting. • Build a repeatable commercial engine that can scale beyond founder-led sales. • Develop B2B relationships across the UK and Europe with interior designers, architecture and design studios, procurement firms, developers, hotels and hospitality groups. • Create and manage a structured pipeline of strategic partners and larger commercial projects. • Help define pricing, commercial terms, trade programmes and market-specific growth strategies. • Recruit, coach and manage sales and business development talent as the company scales. Financial & Business Management • Build and maintain operating and financial models covering revenue, margins, production capacity, staffing, cash flow and growth scenarios. • Create accurate visibility into product costs, gross margin and the economics of bespoke and standard orders. • Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for the founders and shareholders. • Translate business data into clear decisions on hiring, pricing, capacity and investment. bedspoke.co.uk | bedspoke.eu BEDSPOKE Systems, Documentation & Execution • Turn founder knowledge into documented processes that can be consistently executed by the team. • Build practical operating documentation, checklists, reporting templates and management routines. • Ensure sales, customer service, factory, logistics and finance work from one clear operating rhythm and source of truth. • Drive projects through to completion rather than simply identifying what needs to be done. Who We Are Looking For • A highly structured operator with strong commercial instincts and exceptional follow-through. • Dynamic, energetic and comfortable moving quickly in an entrepreneurial environment. • A strong problem solver who takes ownership and does not wait for perfect information or perfect processes. • Someone who has helped scale a startup, scale-up or rapidly growing SME and understands the transition from founder-led execution to professional management. • Comfortable switching between strategy and hands-on execution — from building a financial model or sales dashboard to resolving a production or delivery issue. • Strong with numbers and able to build and interpret financial and operational models. • Commercially confident and credible with senior B2B partners, including designers, studios, developers and hospitality clients. • Able to build teams, set standards and hold people accountable while maintaining a constructive, high-energy culture. • Flexible, adaptable and resilient; comfortable with changing priorities and the realities of a growing international company. • Excellent written and verbal English. Additional European languages are an advantage. Ideal Experience • Experience in a senior operations, general management, commercial operations, COO or similar role in a startup, scale-up or entrepreneurial SME. • Demonstrable experience scaling processes and revenue, not simply operating within an already mature organisation. • Experience with physical products, manufacturing, furniture, interiors, retail, hospitality, logistics or supply chain is highly desirable. • Experience building B2B partnerships and selling into professional buyers or multi-site customers is a strong advantage. • Experience managing cross-border teams, suppliers and partners across several European markets. Location & Travel The role can be based in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, but the successful candidate must be able and willing to travel frequently to our production facility in Riga, Latvia. During the first months, meaningful time on the ground at the factory will be important. Why this role This is a high-impact role with substantial autonomy and direct access to the founders. For the right person, it is an opportunity to shape the operating model, commercial engine and team of a growing European design and manufacturing business — and to have a visible impact on its next stage of scale. Compensation is competitive and dependent on experience. We are flexible for an exceptional candidate. To apply: please send your CV or LinkedIn profile together with a short note explaining what you have scaled before and why this role is a strong fit.
