Healthcare Recruiter – Freelance Recruiting Partner

About the Project We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Recruiter to support our recruiting team with candidate sourcing and initial screening for clinical and non-clinical positions. This role is focused specifically on identifying, engaging, and screening qualified candidates and presenting strong candidates to our Lead Recruiter for next steps. The recruiter will not be responsible for extending offers, negotiating compensation, or managing onboarding. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare recruiting experience and the ability to independently source high-quality candidates for hard-to-fill positions. Key Responsibilities Proactively source qualified candidates for current and upcoming openings using LinkedIn, Indeed, DocCafe, social media, professional networks, and other recruiting platforms. Recruit for a range of healthcare and corporate positions, with a primary focus on: Medical Directors (MDs, DOs) Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (PAs) Medical Assistants and other clinical support roles Non-clinical/corporate positions, including marketing, finance, sales, and administrative roles Conduct initial candidate outreach and assess interest, qualifications and experience based on provided applicant criteria. Conduct initial phone/video screenings with prospective candidates. Confirm relevant credentials, experience, availability, location, and other basic qualifications required for the position. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs. Document candidate activity, screening notes, and status in the organization's ATS or recruiting system. The healthcare recruiter will not be required to extend offers, conduct final interviews or assist with onboarding tasks. Once a candidate has been identified as qualified and successfully completes the initial screening, the recruiter will refer the candidate to the Lead Recruiter, who will manage the next steps in the hiring process. Ideal Candidate: 3+ years of healthcare recruiting experience, preferably with experience recruiting for both clinical and non-clinical positions. Demonstrated experience sourcing and recruiting Medical Directors, FNPs, PAs/APPs, and other healthcare professionals. Experience recruiting for non-clinical roles such as marketing, finance, sales, administration, or other corporate functions. Experience identifying and engaging passive candidates. Proven experience using sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, DocCafe, and other professional recruiting networks. Extensive initial interviewing and candidate-screening skills. Ability to quickly assess qualifications and determine whether a candidate should advance to the next stage. Familiarity with healthcare licensing, credentials, and basic qualification requirements. Experience using an ATS or candidate-tracking system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple searches simultaneously. Comfortable working independently in a freelance/remote recruiting environment. Success will be measured by the recruiter's ability to consistently: Generate a strong volume of qualified candidates. Successfully source difficult-to-find Medical Directors, Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other healthcare professionals. Identify qualified candidates for non-clinical positions. Conduct effective initial screens that save the Lead Recruiter time. Provide accurate and thorough candidate summaries. Maintain organized and up-to-date candidate pipelines. Deliver candidates who meet the defined requirements and are ready for the Lead Recruiter to advance through the hiring process.
