Healthcare Workflow Automation Developer (Elation Health + RingCentral Fax)

We are looking for an experienced automation/API developer to streamline our clinic's document workflow between RingCentral Fax and Elation Health (EMR). Project Overview Our clinic receives a high volume of incoming faxes through RingCentral, including: - Consultation reports - Imaging results - Laboratory results - Hospital records - Referral documents - Prior Authorization Results - Etc Currently, staff must manually: Open each fax in RingCentral or in email (the file is in PDF format) Determine which patient it belongs to Download the document File the document into the correct patient chart Assign a provider to sign it off We would like to automate as much of this workflow as possible. Desired Workflow Ideally, the system would: - Monitor incoming RingCentral faxes - Retrieve new fax documents automatically - Identify the correct patient using available information (patient name, DOB, MRN, fax cover sheet, OCR, etc.) - Match the patient within Elation Health - Upload the document into the patient's chart - Flag any uncertain matches for manual review rather than automatically filing them - Maintain logs of all processed documents - Existing Systems - RingCentral Fax - Elation Health EMR Experience with either platform is a plus but not required if you have experience integrating healthcare software. Technical Requirements We're looking for someone with experience in: REST APIs Healthcare software integrations Workflow automation OCR/document processing Python or Node.js HIPAA-conscious development Authentication (OAuth/API tokens) If direct APIs are unavailable, we're open to discussing secure alternative approaches.
