Hiring an Video Editor for Tech Related review channel
Worldwide
I currently run a YouTube channel called Error By Human, and I’m starting a second channel focused on reviewing tech startups, companies, products, and services. The videos will break down what these companies are doing and point out critical flaws, design problems, and areas they should improve. I’m looking for one freelance editor who can edit around 3–5 videos per week. Most videos will be 10–30 minutes long. The editing style is straightforward but needs to feel fast, clean, and engaging. You’ll typically work with: * Two camera angles of me speaking * One screen recording * Full-screen talking-head footage * Full-screen screen recordings * Picture-in-picture shots with me in the bottom corner * Basic text, images, zooms, and callouts when they genuinely help Think of it as a mix between a podcast-style video, tech commentary, and a computer tutorial. These videos do not need excessive animations or complicated motion graphics. The main job is removing mistakes and dead space, switching between the right footage, and keeping the pacing sharp. The budget is currently $25–$30 per edited video because the format is designed to be quick and repeatable. If you consistently produce good work and understand the channel, I’m open to discussing a longer-term agreement, higher rates, and additional responsibilities. There may also be separate short-form work, including turning sections of the longer videos into YouTube Shorts. I am only looking for an individual freelancer. Do not apply if you run an agency or plan to pass the work to another editor. Requirements: * Strong English comprehension * Fast and reliable turnaround times * Good understanding of pacing and video structure * Ability to follow an established editing style * Good communication and consistency * All portfolio examples must be work you personally edited * Able to commit to 3–5 videos per week * Experience creating Shorts from long-form footage Please do not send me a generic list of your services. I already know the format and workflow I want. I’m looking for someone who can follow those guidelines, communicate clearly, and work with me consistently. To apply, please include: 1. Confirmation that you are an individual freelancer 2. Two or three relevant videos that you personally edited 3. Your usual turnaround time for a 10–30-minute video 4. The editing software you use 5. The word “ERROR” at the beginning of your application so I know you read the full listing Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a short paid test edit.
