Home Textiles Product Designer Needed

We are a growing brand in the home organisation category, developing products such as storage solutions, fabric organizers, covers, utility bags and everyday home-use products. We are looking for an experienced Product Designer / Soft Goods Designer who can help us create the next generation of products — focusing on better functionality, premium aesthetics and manufacturable designs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming ordinary products into differentiated, consumer-friendly products. What you will work on: - Study existing products and identify opportunities for improvement - Reimagine existing products with better usability, storage efficiency, durability, aesthetics, premium feel Create new product concepts from scratch Develop: - concept sketches - realistic product visuals/renders - dimensions/specifications - material and trim recommendations - construction details - Create proto-ready designs that can be shared with manufacturers - Support sampling and refinement process - Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers where required Examples of product categories: - Saree / clothing storage covers - Handbag & shoe organizers - Under-bed storage solutions - Hanging organizers - Laundry storage products - Kitchen organizers - Fabric utility products Ideal background: You should have experience in one or more of: - Soft goods product design - Home furnishing product development - Bag/accessory design - Textile product development - Consumer product design Bonus if you have: - Existing vendor/manufacturer network - Experience handling sampling - Understanding of fabrics, stitching, zippers, trims, hardware etc. Please share: - Examples of products you have designed (not only prints/patterns) - Your experience with prototyping/sampling - Any vendor/manufacturer coordination experience - Your approach to converting an idea into a production-ready product Initial engagement: We would like to start with a small paid trial project. Successful collaboration can become a long-term product development partnership.
