Summary Position Type: Part-Time contract position, approximately 10-20 hours/week Location: Remote (Canada) Purpose As the HR Assistant, you will support our Human Resources function with recruitment coordination, candidate communications and related administrative activities. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will help ensure an efficient and positive hiring experience while providing additional administrative support as needed. You will bring your reliability, strong organizational skills and attention to detail to add important capacity to our growing organization. What You'll Do - Review applications and support candidate screening activities - Conduct introductory candidate phone screenings and prepare candidate summaries - Coordinate interviews and manage scheduling across multiple stakeholder calendars - Prepare interview guides, evaluation forms and candidate assessment materials - Draft and post job advertisements - Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate records and hiring documentation - Coordinate reference checks and other pre-employment activities as required - Monitor recruitment-related email communications and respond to or escalate inquiries as needed - Support onboarding administration and employee record maintenance - Assist with HR documentation, templates and process improvements as needed Who You Are Organized and Accurate: You pay close attention to detail and ensure that administrative tasks are completed correctly and on time. Essential Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, administration or a related field Experience supporting recruitment processes and/or conducting candidate phone screenings Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Experience with BambooHR or other HR information systems is an asset Experience working in a remote environment is an asset Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada and currently reside in Canada. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
