Human Translation Reviewer — Nowergian Website Localization QA (No AI / No Machine Translation)

Summary

We have a website that has been translated by AI and we need professional human translators to review and correct the existing translations. This is a proofreading and correction job, not a translation-from-scratch job — most of the text is already in place; your role is to read it as a native speaker, catch what sounds wrong, unnatural, or incorrect, and fix it. This work must be done by a human. Do NOT use AI, Google Translate, DeepL, or any machine translation tool. We will be reviewing for this and will not accept AI-assisted work. Languages needed English → Norwegian (NO) Please apply for the language you are a native speaker of (or have native-level fluency in). What you'll receive A spreadsheet (Excel) for your language with three columns: ColumnContentskey An internal reference ID — do not touch The original English textLanguage column (e.g. fr) The AI translation you will review and correct There are approximately 3,000 strings per language file. What we need you to do Go through each row and compare the English source against the existing translation. Where the translation is correct and natural, leave it as is. Where it is wrong, awkward, mistranslated, or doesn't fit the context, correct it. Write all your changes in RED directly in the spreadsheet (change the text colour of edited cells to red so we can instantly see what you changed). Send the completed spreadsheet back to us. Important rules Preserve all placeholders exactly. Some strings contain code placeholders like (param), amount), (count), etc. These insert live values on the site. Never translate, rename, delete, or add spaces inside them — copy them across unchanged. For example, (param) spins may become (param) tours in French, but (param) itself must stay identical. Keep the meaning and tone. This is a casino / gaming website, so terminology should sound natural to players in that context. Match the format. Keep capitalisation conventions, punctuation, and any symbols (%, $, etc.) consistent with the English unless the target language requires otherwise. Only mark genuine changes in red. Don't recolour cells you didn't edit.
