Hybrid YouTube Content Strategist & Script Outliner
Worldwide
About the Role I’m building a new YouTube channel around ADHD and personal finance and I’m looking for someone to grow with me as part of the core team. This is not a “write me a script and disappear” role. We’ll have a **weekly meeting** to talk through video direction, ideas, and what’s working. You’ll be a real collaborator, not just a contractor. Sometimes I’ll come to you with an idea already formed shared via Loom, video, or voice memo - and you’ll use that as the foundation to build the outline and research. Other times we’ll develop the concept together. ----- What I’m Looking For A cross between a scriptwriter and a researcher— someone who can dig up outlier angles and surprising ideas, then shape them into a framework the host delivers in their own words. No full word-for-word scripts. No AI-generated content. The best person for this role thinks **contrarian**. They don’t find what everyone else is saying — they find the angle that flips it. The stat that surprises, the take that challenges the conventional wisdom, the story nobody in this niche is telling. That contrarian edge is what will set this channel apart. You should also be a natural storyteller. Facts don’t keep people watching - stories do. The research needs a narrative thread running through it, not just a list of points. I also want someone who brings fun, creative ideas to the table. Not just “here’s what to say” but “here’s a concept that could be really interesting.” The channel focuses on **personal finance** — budgeting, money habits, financial decisions, and the mindset around money. We do not cover wealth building, investing, or the stock market. ----- What You’ll Deliver Per Video 1. Hook(written word for word)* The opening lines that stop the scroll and pull the viewer in. Often story-driven. 2. Intro/Opening (written word for word) Sets up what the video is about and why it matters to this audience. 3. Research Outline (bulleted points, each with a brief explanation) The meat of the video. Each bullet is a key point the host will riff through in their own words. Every bullet needs enough context and explanation that the host knows exactly what to say and why it matters. Include: - Notes flagging where the host’s personal expertise or experience should come in *(e.g., “[Kai’s take: share your experience with this]”)* - Rhetorical questions the host can answer from their own perspective - Story moments where a real example or anecdote would land 4. Close/CTA (written word for word) How the video wraps up and what the viewer should do next. 5. B-Roll Shot List A list of on-camera action shots for the host to film — footage the editor can cut to throughout the video (e.g., “Shot: reviewing a budget on screen,” “Shot: walking and talking, casual energy”). ----- The Details - Per video to start — no volume commitment upfront - Goal is to grow to 4–8 videos per month once we’ve built a strong working rhythm together - Weekly video strategy meeting to align on direction and ideas - Outlines delivered within **3 business days** of each meeting - $20–$25 per video - No AI-written content ----- To Apply Tell us a little about yourself and why this role fits you — written or via Loom/video. Then find an outlier or underperforming video in the personal finance or ADHD space and pitch us one idea inspired by it that would work for this channel.
