Illustrator for Backgrounds of Short Animation/VFX Film

I am making a YouTube series of short animated films. The visual style of the series is unique: it combines sock puppet characters with cartoons and live action footage. Sometimes I place the sock puppet head on the body of a human person wearing a colorized body suit. I am looking for an illustrator / concept artist who can create backgrounds that fit this design style. I am open minded to lots of different visual/illustration styles (2D, cartoon, painterly, photorealistic, concept art, computer generated, etc). The most important thing for me is that the background style pairs well with the character. You can find a PNG of the character below. I encourage you to take the PNG and experiment with it, to see if it pairs well with your visual style. I need someone who can: - Illustrate / create backgrounds for the characters. (Both interior and exterior background styles.) - Do compositing, or add textures/overlays if necessary, to make the sock puppet character fit stylistically with the background illustration. (You are welcome to manipulate the visual style of the character, using overlays/textures/color adjustments, so that it fits your visual style.) This is an ongoing series. If I like your style, I will hire you for multiple projects this coming year. We can negotiate budget for each project going forward. I would like to start with a "screen test" to see what your visual style will look like with one of the characters. I can pay you for the screen test, before we move forward with a bigger project.
