Illustrator for Bespoke Brand Illustration Library
Worldwide
About us We are a founder-led wealth and mortgages group based in the UK. We look after people's money and their homes, and we do it with a genuine white glove service: personal, unhurried, considered. Our sector defaults to stock photography of handshakes and beige boardrooms, and we have no interest in looking like that. We are building a brand that stands apart, and illustration is a big part of how we intend to do it. The work We want a bespoke, reusable illustration library. Around 40 to 60 pieces to start, then extended over time as new needs come up. It will be used across our website, print, client-facing documents, internal material and introducer-facing collateral, so consistency across the whole set matters far more than any single showpiece. The style we are after Confident, economical linework. Flat fills, no gradients, no drop shadows, no clutter. Generous white space. Restrained and grown-up rather than the bouncy, oversaturated corporate style everyone else uses. People drawn with real posture and character rather than featureless blobs. It should feel considered and premium, closer to editorial illustration than to a stock icon pack. Warm and human, but never cute. Our palette. Please work within it, using duotone or three-colour compositions rather than all six at once: Terracotta #B75430 Growth Green #124B39 Espresso #664725 Ink #19120C Stone #ECE1D4 White #F3F1EE We will share full brand guidelines and detailed visual references with whoever we shortlist. The scenes Real moments from our world rather than generic business abstractions. Think a first-time buyer collecting keys, a review meeting across a table, a retirement conversation, a mortgage appointment, a family at home, a professional introduction between two advisers, a document being signed, a long-term plan taking shape. We will give you the full list to work from. What you would deliver 1. Original vector artwork. Editable source files plus SVG and PNG exports. 2. A coherent system, not just a pile of drawings. Shared line weight, corner treatment, figure proportions and palette rules, so the set holds together and we can commission more later without it drifting. 3. Full copyright assignment to us on completion. This needs to be work we own outright and can use across every surface. What we are looking for 1. A portfolio with comparable work. Line-led, flat, restrained, and ideally whole sets rather than one-off pieces. 2. Strong figure drawing. People are the hard part and it is where most sets fall down. 3. Palette discipline. Show us you can make something sing inside a tight, constrained set of colours. 4. Someone who reads a written scene brief and comes back with a better idea than the literal one. How we would work This is ongoing rather than a one-off. We will start with the core batch and keep commissioning as new material comes up, so we are looking for someone we can build a long relationship with rather than a single supplier. Depending on the candidate, we may commission a small paid test piece before committing to the full batch. We have not fixed a rate. Tell us what you would charge and how you would structure it, and we will take it from there. Please answer the screening questions and include links to your work. We will not be able to consider applications without examples.
