Summary

Job Purpose The Image Production Specialist role is focused on providing the best in market option for New Vehicle stock image merchandising. This is a production-focused role: the majority of your day is spent in Photoshop and our content production systems, creating accurate, market-ready vehicle imagery. You will recreate factory paint colours, edit carryovers, evaluate AI-generated output, and move imagery through our cloud image pipeline and internal Content Team Hub. Accuracy and colour judgment matter more than artistic flair — the goal is imagery that matches real-world factory paint and real vehicles, not imagery that merely looks good. You are a detail oriented, self-directed person who takes initiative, learns internal systems quickly, and communicates clearly in writing. Duties - Recreating factory paint colours in Photoshop using adjustment-layer techniques (fill layers, Curves, masking), matching official OEM swatches and real-world paint behaviour, not how colours appear in online renders or marketing images. - Editing existing exterior colours into required exterior colours, with highlights and metallic character preserved and no colour bleed onto non-paint surfaces. - Editing carryovers that need minor adjustments. For example: an emblem update, change in rims, or grille revision with pixel-accurate, undetectable results. - Editing out badging and imperfections on vehicles captured for the library, using Photoshop, at production pace. - Critically reviewing AI-generated imagery for geometric artifacting, warped panel gaps, invented reflections, and colour drift and correctly deciding whether an output should be rejected, repaired, or approved. - Moving imagery through the production pipeline in cloud storage (Amazon S3), following the folder and naming conventions that define each pipeline stage. - Sourcing and validating vehicle references, distinguishing authoritative sources from unreliable internet imagery. Qualifications - Demonstrated Photoshop proficiency with adjustment layers, layer masks, selections (including Select Subject and Color Range), and non-destructive workflows. A portfolio or practical test is required; basic Photoshop experience is not sufficient for this role. - Strong colour perception and judgment. Is able to tell whether a paint colour is accurate to real-world application, and to distinguish a true metallic finish from a flat tint. - A critical eye for AI-generated and internet-sourced imagery. Is able to identify artifacting, geometry errors, and implausible results rather than accepting output at face value. - Production speed and consistency. Being comfortable clearing daily volume targets without quality drop-off. - Comfortable learning and navigating backend systems: admin portals, cloud file storage (S3 or similar), structured folder and naming conventions, and internal database apps. Prior S3 experience is an asset; care and precision with file handling are required. - Strong written English communication skills with clear status updates, ticket notes, and issue reports across time zones. - Reliable self-management in a remote role: consistent daily output, proactive flagging of blockers, and reading and acknowledging notes and instructions before starting work. - A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant field (design, media, photography) is an asset; practical skill is weighted over credentials. - Photography experience is considered an asset along with a keen eye for detail in images. - Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
