InDesign EPUB Export Fix

We have a book manuscript in Adobe InDesign that needs to be properly exported as a reflowable EPUB (not fixed layout). The PDF export works fine, but we're running into several issues when exporting to EPUB and need an experienced InDesign/EPUB specialist to fix them. The book was previously published with a working EPUB (v3) produced by our former publisher. We no longer have access to that publisher, so we need to recreate a clean, correctly exporting EPUB ourselves from the updated InDesign file. We can share the original working EPUB as a reference for comparison. Issues to fix: Rendering/layout errors – Text elements (e.g., pull quotes, a QR/scan code) are appearing in the wrong position compared to the actual InDesign layout. Need the reflowable EPUB output to accurately reflect the intended page layout. URL line-wrapping problem – URLs (e.g., "sponsormagnet.com") are being hyphenated and split across two lines instead of wrapping cleanly as a whole unit onto the next line. Hyperlinks – All URLs need to be properly clickable hyperlinks in the final EPUB (some hyperlinks were manually added already, but need to confirm they carry through correctly on export). What we need from you: Review our current InDesign file and export settings Fix the EPUB export settings/workflow so the cover, layout, and hyperlinks all export correctly Reference the previously working publisher-produced EPUB (v3) as a benchmark for how it should look/behave Deliver a clean, correctly formatted reflowable EPUB file Briefly document what settings/steps were changed, so we can replicate this for future updates We'll provide the InDesign file, current broken EPUB export, and the original working EPUB for reference upon hiring.
