Attorney must be knowledgeable regarding: -IRS list of 20 factors -NC ESC (North Carolina Employment Security Commission) standards -IRS Form SS-8 -Common law rules (Behavioral, Financial, Type of Relationship) -necessary clauses for Independent contractor agreement -strategies to mitigate legal risks -how to conduct classification audits to identify risks We have a template independent contractor agreement, but it will require additional clauses.
