Independent Software Architecture & Technical Governance Reviewer

I am seeking an experienced independent professional to conduct two separate, narrowly scoped reviews of an existing software decision-support platform currently under development. This is REVIEW-ONLY work. No coding, software development, implementation, system redesign, or ongoing consulting is required. The engagement consists of: 1. SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE REVIEW Independently review an existing technical specification and supporting materials to assess matters such as: * architectural consistency * dependency direction * system and ownership boundaries * feasibility * compatibility with the existing architecture * whether unintended or unsupported authority has been introduced The reviewer will document an independent conclusion and may identify deficiencies, inconsistencies, missing evidence, or concerns. 2. TECHNICAL GOVERNANCE / EVIDENCE REVIEW Separately review controlled technical documentation and supporting evidence involving matters such as: * document identity and lineage * traceability * evidence sufficiency * role and authority boundaries * conflicts or inconsistencies * controlled records * independently attributable findings The reviewer will make their own determination based on the supplied materials. IMPORTANT — INDEPENDENCE I am not seeking a predetermined approval. The reviewer must be comfortable disagreeing with the proposed approach, identifying deficiencies, requesting clarification or additional evidence where appropriate, or reaching an unfavorable conclusion. Compensation is for performing the reviews and is not dependent on whether the findings are favorable or unfavorable. IDEAL BACKGROUND Strong candidates may have experience in one or more of the following: * enterprise, solution, software, or systems architecture * independent architecture/design reviews * technology governance or architecture assurance * IT audit or IT compliance * configuration or records management * requirements and traceability * controlled technical documentation * regulated software/systems * evidence-based quality or compliance reviews A particular certification, degree, or professional license is not required. Demonstrated relevant professional experience is more important. REVIEW PROCESS The two reviews have separate scopes and conclusions and must remain independently evaluated. A short plain-English orientation will explain the purpose, terminology, scope, evidence navigation, and response procedure before the detailed review materials are provided. The orientation explains HOW to perform the review; it will not tell the reviewer what conclusion to reach. The successful candidate must not have participated in the design, authorship, implementation, or previous decision-making for this platform. DELIVERABLES * Completed independent architecture review response * Completed independent technical-governance/evidence review response * Identification of any deficiencies, unresolved questions, or insufficient evidence encountered during either review This is intended to be a short, fixed-price engagement with clearly bounded deliverables. Your experience reviewing governance, audit evidence, controlled documentation, traceability, configuration/records management, or comparable evidence-based systems. 3. Whether you are comfortable reaching and documenting an unfavorable conclusion if the supplied evidence does not support approval. 4. Whether you are comfortable performing two separately scoped reviews without allowing the conclusion of one to determine the other. 5. Your proposed fixed price for completing both reviews. Please do not propose software development or implementation services; those are outside the scope of this engagement.
