Industrial Automation Engineer for Protocol Mapping

We are Rekoser, a provider of industrial Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS). We are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation / SCADA / Embedded Systems Engineer located in China to configure a protocol gateway converting Modbus to DNP3. Our core battery control module communicates natively via Modbus/RTU (RS485) and Modbus/TCP (Ethernet). Our end utility client requires the telemetry data to be accessible via DNP3 protocol. We have selected the Moxa MGate 5109 (or similar Moxa Modbus-to-DNP3 gateway) to perform this conversion. Scope of Work: Hardware Setup: You will receive a test sample of our Control Module (RMS-CM) shipped domestically within China from our technology partner in Hangzhou. You will need to secure a Moxa MGate 5109 gateway for testing. Protocol Mapping: Based on our provided Modbus Excel register map (covering cell voltages, internal resistance, temperatures, and alarm registers), you will configure the Moxa gateway to act as a Modbus Master (polling our BMS) and map these points into standard DNP3 Objects (Analog Inputs with flags, Binary Inputs for alarms, etc.) organized by classes (Class 0/1/2/3). Simulation & Validation: Verify the solution using a DNP3 Master Simulator on a PC. You must provide video evidence showing successful, stable data polling and alarm state transmissions. Deliverables: Provide the final Moxa configuration file profile and a comprehensive Modbus-to-DNP3 memory map document. Requirements: Must be located in China (Zhejiang province / Hangzhou area is a major plus for logistics). Proven experience configuring Moxa MGate gateways or similar industrial protocol converters (HMS Anybus, Red Lion, etc.). Strong understanding of industrial protocols: Modbus/RTU, Modbus/TCP, and DNP3 specifications. Experience using SCADA simulation tools (e.g., Modscan, ASE2000, ProSoft, or similar DNP3 master simulators). Ability to communicate and write technical documentation in English.
