Industrial CAD Designer – Electrical & Control Schematics (Long-Term)

We are looking for an experienced Electrical CAD Designer to assist in creating professional schematic drawing packages for a line of industrial process equipment. This is an ongoing opportunity with steady work for the right person. Initially, you will be converting existing concepts, field notes, and hand sketches into organized, manufacturing-ready drawings. As the project progresses, additional systems will be added. Initial Scope The first phase of work will include creating: Electrical schematics Control wiring diagrams Load cell wiring diagrams Terminal layouts Cable schedules Field wiring diagrams I/O drawings Future phases may include: Pneumatic schematics Hydraulic schematics Mechanical detail drawings Assembly drawings Installation documentation Requirements Experience creating industrial electrical schematic drawings Strong knowledge of industrial control systems Ability to read and organize existing wiring information Experience with terminal blocks, sensors, motors, relays, contactors, PLC I/O, and instrumentation Excellent attention to detail and drawing organization Ability to maintain consistent drawing standards across multiple projects Preferred Software Experience with one or more of the following: AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN SolidWorks Electrical AutoCAD Other industrial electrical CAD software Nice to Have Experience with PLC-based automation systems Experience with load cells and weighing systems Experience with industrial process equipment Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems Familiarity with North American electrical drafting standards What You'll Receive We will provide: Existing drawings Photos Wiring lists Hand sketches Design notes Component information Your responsibility will be to convert this information into clean, professional, easy-to-follow drawing packages suitable for manufacturing, installation, and future revisions.
