Industrial Designer — Consumer Wellness Device | NDA Required

I am a Canadian product developer working on a new consumer wellness device for women. The product is a handheld, body-safe silicone device with a unique organic form factor, dual independent motors, and an air pulse opening. Think premium personal care — similar category to brands like We-Vibe, Dame, or Womanizer, but with a completely original shape and dual functionality that doesn't exist on the market yet. **I require an NDA to be signed before sharing full concept details.** If you're open to that, please say so in your proposal. --- ### What I Need From You **Phase 1 — CAD & Design (primary deliverable)** - 3D CAD model of an ergonomic, curved handheld form (organic, palm-sized, approx. 185mm overall length) - Soft oval/slit opening detail on the underside of the device - Dual motor cavity layout inside the body (air pulse motor + vibration motor — I will brief fully under NDA) - Button placement study on the top spine - Internal USB-C charging port placement - All files in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 (STEP + STL formats) **Phase 2 — Patent Drawings** - 6-angle technical drawings suitable for Canadian CIPO industrial design registration and US USPTO design patent filing - Front, back, top, bottom, left side, right side views - Clean line drawings, no shading, per patent office standards **Phase 3 — Prototype** - Coordinate or recommend an SLA 3D print of the form - Ideally in a flexible resin approximating Shore 20–30A softness for the outer body - Rigid print acceptable if flexible not available — shape and proportion is the priority at this stage **Phase 4 — Manufacturer-Ready Spec Sheet** - One-page technical spec document I can hand to a Shenzhen OEM factory - Materials, dimensions, tolerances, motor cavity specs, waterproofing requirements (IPX7) --- ### Ideal Background - Industrial design or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience - Strong portfolio in **personal care, medical devices, consumer electronics, or handheld devices** - Experience with **soft-touch silicone overmolding** or two-shot molding - Familiarity with **OEM/ODM manufacturing in China** — you understand how to design for factory production, not just for aesthetics - Experience producing **patent-quality technical drawings** - Bonus: experience in adult wellness, intimate care, or similar regulated consumer categories --- ### What I Am NOT Looking For - Furniture, architecture, or graphic designers - Designers who only produce renders without prototype or manufacturing experience - Anyone unwilling to sign an NDA before briefing --- ### Tools & Formats Required - SolidWorks or Fusion 360 (preferred) - STEP and STL file output - PDF for patent drawings and spec sheet - 3D renders (KeyShot or similar) appreciated but not required at this stage --- ### Project Scope & Budget **Project type:** Fixed price preferred, open to milestone-based **Budget range:** $2,000–5,000 USD (depending on experience and scope) **Timeline:** CAD files and patent drawings within 30 days of briefing Please include in your proposal: 1.
