Industrial/Product Designer Needed to Refine Physical Mock-up and Create Manufacturer-Ready CAD
Worldwide
I'm looking for an experienced industrial/product designer to help refine an existing physical product concept and prepare it properly for manufacturing. I have already developed the overall concept, visual direction and a physical mock-up. I'm not looking for a full redesign. I need someone with strong CAD and design-for-manufacture experience to help resolve the technical dimensions and construction, then translate the product into clear manufacturer-ready drawings. The Product The product is a premium rigid, book-style keepsake vessel with an integrated ring binder. Made for children roughly between ages 4-8. I currently have a physical handmade mock-up and approximate dimensions, but I need help refining these before finalising specifications with manufacturers. What I Need Help With I'd like the designer to review my existing mock-up and help determine: * Final external and internal dimensions * Appropriate spine/depth dimensions * Ring binder placement * Ring mechanism size and positioning * Page clearance as the binder fills * Clearance between pages and the outer case * Internal pocket sizing and construction * Slim document sleeve positioning * Board thickness considerations * Hinge and spine clearances * Magnetic closure positioning * General manufacturing tolerances * Whether the overall construction will function properly when fully assembled CAD and Technical Deliverables Ideally, I would like: * A clean 3D CAD model of the vessel * Dimensioned 2D technical drawings * Internal layout measurements * Ring binder placement dimensions * Key clearances and tolerances clearly marked * Exploded or section views where useful * Manufacturer-ready PDF drawings * Editable/source CAD files I would also like the drawings to be clear enough that I can send the same specification to multiple manufacturers for accurate sampling and quotations. Ideal Experience Please apply if you have experience with: * Industrial or product design * Physical product development * CAD modelling * Design for manufacture * Technical drawings * Manufacturing tolerances and clearances Experience with any of the following would be particularly useful: * Rigid presentation boxes * Premium packaging * Book-style cases * Ring binders or stationery products * Hinged products * Magnetic closures * Paper-wrapped greyboard construction I am more interested in practical manufacturing experience than purely visual rendering. Many Thanks, Natalie
