Industrial Product Engineer / Product Designer – Musical Instrument Development

About the Project We are an established musical instrument company seeking an experienced Industrial Product Engineer or Product Designer to help develop the next generation of one of our flagship products. This is not simply a styling project. We require someone who can take concepts and ideas and transform them into a fully engineered, manufacturable product ready for supplier production. What You'll Be Doing * Collaborate with our team to develop new product concepts and improvements. * Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation. * Assess design feasibility, tolerances, materials, and production methods. * Develop prototypes and refine designs through multiple iterations. * Work with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to produce. * Recommend manufacturing processes, materials, finishes, and assembly methods. * Identify potential engineering or production challenges and develop solutions. * Prepare complete technical packages suitable for manufacturing. Ideal Experience We're looking for someone who has: * Proven experience designing physical consumer products from concept through to production. * Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred, but similar platforms considered). * Experience creating production-ready technical drawings and specifications. * Knowledge of materials and tooling * Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Experience with musical instruments is beneficial but not essential.
