Instagram Copywriter for Meaningful Social Events Company [NO AGENCIES]

I’m looking for a strong marketing copywriter for a London-based social events company focused on meaningful events, real connection and IRL community. You need to have a genuine interest in personal development, psychology, wellness, coaching, therapy, conscious community, social wellness, IRL events or similar spaces. Experience writing for personal development, wellness, coaching, therapy, community, lifestyle, events or hospitality brands would be especially useful. The work will involve writing copy for Instagram, including short-form captions, longer-form captions, carousel copy, event announcements, launch posts, reminder posts, community posts and other social/event-related copy. I will provide references, direction and examples of the specific style I’m looking for. You’ll need to take the brief and turn it into copy that feels clear, human, emotionally intelligent and commercially effective. I would usually expect around 2–3 pieces of copy within an hour, depending on length and complexity. There will likely be around 5 or more pieces of copy per week. SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE WORK You must have a strong understanding of marketing copy, especially for Instagram and social media. The copy needs to be engaging, emotionally resonant and clear, but not cheesy, generic, corporate or overly polished. You need to understand how to write for real people, create desire around an event, communicate the feeling of the experience, and make people want to attend without sounding too salesy. You should be comfortable writing in different formats, from short punchy posts to longer storytelling captions. A good understanding of tone of voice, hooks, positioning, social proof, calls to action and event marketing is important. COMMUNICATION You must have fluent English and be able to write in natural, high-quality English. You also need to be available during UK/GMT working hours for feedback and revisions. We will use WhatsApp for quick communication, feedback and edits, and Zoom where needed for longer feedback or style calls. You should be comfortable taking direct feedback and adapting copy to match the brand voice. HOW I WORK I will send you a clear brief, reference posts and examples of the copy style I want. The first few pieces may involve more feedback while we get the tone right, but the aim is to build an ongoing working relationship with someone who understands the brand and can work quickly from a brief. I need someone who can learn the the business's voice over time and write copy that feels aligned, thoughtful and commercially strong.
