Summary

We are a growing lawn and landscape company looking for an experienced Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer to help us build a company-specific employee training program. We currently use Greenius as our Learning Management System and already use its green-industry training content. We can upload our own videos, quizzes, checklists, and learning paths inside Greenius. We are comfortable continuing to use Greenius, but we are also open to recommendations if there is another platform or approach that would materially improve what we are trying to build. We are not looking to switch platforms just for the sake of switching. Our main goal is to take the knowledge, standards, expectations, and processes inside our company and turn them into a professional, repeatable training system. What We Need Help With The right person will help us: Review our existing training scripts, SOPs, and company standards Interview company leadership when more information or context is needed Turn raw information into clear, effective employee training Help determine the best structure for each course and learning path Develop learning objectives Break larger topics into short, understandable lessons Create quizzes and knowledge assessments Create field or manager verification checklists when appropriate Help produce or coordinate training videos Work with voice recordings, field footage, photos, screen recordings, graphics, and AI video tools Upload and organize the finished training inside Greenius or the agreed-upon LMS Create a consistent format that we can continue using as our training library grows Phase 1 — Core Company Expectations Our first project will focus on building a Core Company Expectations training series. This will establish the foundation every employee should understand regardless of their specific position. Topics may include: Company mission and purpose Core values What we expect from employees Ownership and accountability Communication expectations Customer service expectations Quality standards Professionalism Urgency and responsiveness How we work together as a team General company policies and expectations We already have several scripts and pieces of content developed for this series. We need help turning them into a polished, structured training program rather than simply a collection of videos. Phase 2 — Mowing Training Series After completing the Core Company Expectations series, our next project will be a comprehensive mowing and landscape maintenance training series. This will likely include topics such as: What a completed property should look like Mowing standards Trimming standards Edging standards Blowing and cleanup Property damage prevention Equipment expectations Quality control Production and efficiency expectations Customer interaction Handling unusual conditions or problems in the field Manager or field verification of skills Because mowing is hands-on work, we expect this series to include a combination of training videos, real field footage, quizzes, and supervisor verification. Future Projects We also operate other service divisions, including lawn applications, irrigation, office operations, and management. Those training programs are not part of this initial project. If the first two phases go well, we would like to continue working with the same person to develop those training programs as separate future projects. What We Are Looking For We are not simply looking for a video editor. We want someone who understands how to take company knowledge and turn it into training that employees can actually understand, retain, and apply. The ideal candidate has experience with: Instructional design Corporate or employee training eLearning development Learning Management Systems Curriculum development Quizzes and assessments Training video development LMS administration Adult learning principles Experience creating training for field service, construction, manufacturing, trades, landscaping, or other hands-on workforces would be especially valuable. Experience with Greenius is a plus but not required. Experience with platforms such as Trainual, TalentLMS, LearnUpon, Docebo, Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar systems is also relevant. An Important Part of This Role We want someone who can take knowledge from a subject-matter expert and turn it into effective training. For example, we may provide you with: A written script A recorded conversation explaining how we do something Existing SOPs Photos Raw field footage Screen recordings Examples of good and bad work We want you to help determine: What should be included in the video What should be taught through written content What should be tested on a quiz What requires hands-on field verification How the lessons should be sequenced How to keep the training engaging and practical The goal is to make this process efficient enough that our leadership can provide the subject-matter expertise without personally having to build, edit, upload, and administer every training course. Initial Engagement We would like to start with the Core Company Expectations series as the first project. If that goes well, we will move into the Mowing Training Series. We see strong potential for an ongoing relationship with the right person as we continue developing our company training system over time. When Applying Please include: Examples of employee or corporate training you have created Examples of LMS courses or learning paths you have built Any experience creating training for field-service or hands-on employees The LMS platforms you have worked with Your experience producing or coordinating training videos Your experience working with subject-matter experts A brief explanation of how you would take a written training script and turn it into an effective employee-training module Any initial thoughts on using Greenius for this type of company-specific training We are looking for someone who can help us build a professional training system now and potentially become a long-term partner as that system grows.
