Experience Level: Intermediate (Entry-level candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply) Hourly Range: $4–$9/hour (Flexible depending on experience and overall fit) --- About Us We are a growing insurance agency looking for an **Insurance Assistant / Customer Service Representative (CSR)** to support our team with policy servicing, quoting, billing support, client communication, and day-to-day agency operations. This role is ideal for someone with insurance experience, customer service experience, or administrative experience who wants to continue building a long-term career in insurance. Spanish is preferred but not required. This position will begin with core service responsibilities and may expand into additional responsibilities over time depending on performance and growth. --- Responsibilities Client Service & Policy Support 1. Assist clients by phone, text, and email 2. Handle policy servicing requests and changes 3. Process endorsements and policy updates 4. Assist with renewals and retention follow-ups 5. Coordinate documents and client requests 6. Maintain accurate client records 7. Deliver excellent customer service and follow-through 8. Support claims-related communication when needed Quoting & Sales Support 1. Prepare insurance quotes for review 2. Gather information needed for quoting 3. Follow up with prospects and quote opportunities 4. Assist with remarketing and quote revisions 5. Support cross-selling opportunities when appropriate 6. Document quote activity and outcomes 7. Assist with follow-up on pending business Billing & Administrative Support 1. Assist clients with billing questions 2. Explain payment options and billing schedules 3. Support billing follow-up processes 4. Maintain CRM records and notes 5. Data entry and document organization 6. General administrative support Agency Support 1. Support day-to-day agency operations 2. Help maintain organized workflows 3. Communicate with team members regarding outstanding items 4. Assist with process improvements and efficiency initiatives --- Required Skills & Qualifications Required 1. Strong communication skills 2. Customer service experience 3. Organized and detail-oriented 4. Comfortable multitasking 5. Comfortable learning systems and technology 6. Reliable internet and professional work environment 7. Strong follow-up habits 8. Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred Experience 1. Insurance agency experience 2. Customer Service Representative (CSR) experience 3. Personal Lines Insurance (Auto / Home) 4. Commercial Insurance experience (bonus) 5. Life Insurance experience is a plus but not required 6. Policy servicing experience 7. Quoting experience 8. Billing support experience 9. CRM experience 10. Spanish speaking ability (preferred but not required) Preferred Systems Experience 1. CRM systems 2. Agency Management Systems 3. Microsoft Office 4. Google Workspace 5. Phone systems 6. Data entry and reporting tools --- What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) 1. Becoming comfortable handling service requests 2. Learning our agency systems and workflows 3. Supporting timely communication with clients 4. Producing accurate quote support work 5. Maintaining organized records and documentation 6. Care about creating a great client experience Training and support will be provided, but we are looking for someone dependable who wants to grow with the agency. --- Availability 1. Preferred overlap with Central Time (Chicago) 2. Preferred availability: 30–40 hours per week 3. Must be available during business hours for communication and follow-ups 4. Some weekends will be required This is intended to be a long-term opportunity with room to grow into additional responsibilities over time.
