Integration & Automation Developer (SQL / Power Platform)

Location: Remote Role Type: Full-Time, Dedicated Remote Position Overview We are looking for a skilled Integration & Automation Developer to become our very first internal developer. If you love autonomy, ownership, and building things from the ground up without corporate red tape, this role is for you. You will be the core technical owner of our internal systems: managing and maintaining our SQL Server, building automated workflows and reporting in the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem (Power Automate and Power BI), and connecting our internal tools through REST API integrations. The ideal candidate is part database administrator, part automation and reporting pro, and a reliable technical anchor for our growing company. Key Responsibilities SQL Server Management & Optimization: Take full ownership of our SQL Server environment. Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, optimize slow-running queries, write T-SQL stored procedures and views, and ensure data integrity and security. Power Automate - Workflow & System Automation: Build, maintain, and scale automated workflows using Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop flows) to connect internal applications, sync business data, trigger notifications, and eliminate manual tasks across the organization. Power BI - Reporting & Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that pull data directly from our SQL Server. Translate raw business data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders. API Integrations: Build robust connections using REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON data processing to ensure seamless data flow between our SQL Server and third-party cloud tools via Power Automate. Internal App Development: Rapidly design, deploy, and maintain custom, data-driven internal tools, forms, and dashboards using Microsoft Power Apps, ensuring tight integration with our SQL Server backend. Technical Qualifications Microsoft SQL Server Expertise: Strong experience managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server environments. Advanced proficiency in T-SQL, query tuning, indexing strategy, and database security. Microsoft Power Automate: Deep, hands-on experience architecting complex, reliable Cloud and Desktop flows. Proven ability to connect SQL Server, APIs, and third-party services through automated workflows. Microsoft Power BI: Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards connected to SQL Server data sources. Ability to model data effectively and create clear, business-friendly visualizations.
