Goal: I need an interior designer who can translate the design brief into practical, elegant and buildable interiors — with strong storage, good lighting, comfortable family spaces, refined formal areas, practical kitchens and bathrooms, elderly-friendly usability, climate-appropriate materials and a warm timeless atmosphere. Applicant Requirements Experience required in large residential interiors, family homes, modern warm interiors with classic/Mediterranean touches, storage-heavy planning, double-height spaces/libraries, kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, lighting design, climate-appropriate materials and contractor-executable drawings/details. Experience with Pakistani residential materials and vendors is preferred. Job Description I am constructing a 4-kanal multi-generational residence in Gulberg Greens, Islamabad. I have architectural plans, MEP drawings, a detailed design brief and exterior 3D renders. I am also hiring separate experts for architectural review and MEP review so that the base drawings are properly coordinated. This role is only for interior design. Exterior elevation design, landscape design, structural review and technical MEP design are outside this scope. However, the interior designer must coordinate with the architect and MEP reviewer where interior design affects lighting points, ceiling design, AC locations, plumbing fixture placement, kitchen layout, bathroom layout, wardrobes, joinery or concealed works. I need an interior designer to translate the design brief into practical, elegant and buildable interiors: a warm, modern, timeless family home with subtle Mediterranean character, suitable for a large multi-generational household. The design should be refined, comfortable, storage-conscious, elderly-friendly, climate-appropriate and suitable for daily family living in Islamabad. Key Scope 1. Interior Design Concept Develop the overall interior direction, including theme, mood boards, colour palette, material palette, furniture style, lighting mood, subtle Mediterranean accents and room-by-room design character. 2. Space Planning and Furniture Layouts Prepare practical furniture layouts for entrance foyer, double-height lobby, drawing room, dining room, family lounges, bedrooms, study/library, office/meeting space, basement lounge, table tennis/play area, gym, corridors, stair lobbies, laundry and utility areas. 3. Double-Height Library / Study Design Develop a specific concept for the double-height library/study, including shelving strategy, reading seating, desk/work areas, lighting, acoustic comfort, curtain/blind strategy, gallery/height treatment if applicable, material palette and coordination with windows, AC and electrical/data points. 4. Lighting and Ceiling Design Prepare reflected ceiling and lighting plans for key areas, including ceiling design, cove lighting, downlights, chandeliers/pendants, wall lights, reading lights, task lighting, mirror lighting, kitchen lighting, wardrobe/dressing lighting, fan positions and AC coordination. 5. Storage and Joinery Design Design practical and elegant storage, including media walls, bookshelves, wardrobes, walk-in closets, dressing tables, linen storage, pantry storage, kitchen storage, laundry storage, utility storage, basement storage, prayer-related storage and concealed clutter-control storage in lounges/family areas. 6. Kitchens, Pantry and Laundry Develop interior layouts and finish concepts for neat kitchen, grease kitchen, pantry and laundry/ironing areas. Include appliance placement, counter layout, sink location, storage, workflow, lighting and practical usage. 7. Bathrooms and Dressing Areas Prepare bathroom and dressing-area layouts/elevations, including vanity design, mirror lighting, shower areas, bathtub locations where applicable, WC placement, niches, towel/storage provision, tile concept, elderly-friendly usability, walk-in closet layout, dressing table placement, luggage storage and seasonal storage. 8. Climate-Appropriate Materials, Curtains and Finishes Recommend practical and locally available finishes for flooring, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, kitchens, wardrobes, hardware, sanitary fixture style, lighting fixture style, curtains/blinds and loose furniture. Pay attention to Islamabad climate, sun exposure, dust, privacy, heat gain, fabric durability, curtain placement, blackout/sheer layering where needed, and maintainability. 9. Execution Coordination Provide room-wise execution notes for electrical points, lighting points, AC coordination, plumbing fixture positioning, ceiling coordination, joinery dimensions, wall treatment locations, tile layout direction and curtain/blind provisions.
