International Tech & Data Privacy Attorney – Platform Terms & LinkedIn ToS Risk Mitigation
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced, specialised Technology and Data Privacy Attorney to review the business model and risk profile for a new B2B digital platform. Our platform matches independent individuals (contractors) with businesses to connect their social accounts and perform outbound B2B marketing and business outreach on behalf of those client businesses. We are aware that this model operates in a high-risk regulatory environment regarding platform terms of service. We need an expert to help us legally structure the platform to protect our company entity, mitigate cross-border liabilities, and draft our core legal agreements. Key Responsibilities: Risk Assessment: Review our user journey and architecture to assess our global exposure regarding LinkedIn’s User Agreement (specifically regarding account sharing, delegation, and automation). Jurisdictional Strategy: Advise on the best corporate jurisdiction (e.g., UK vs. Ireland vs. UAE) to protect our platform from aggressive US platform litigation (such as Tortious Interference or CFAA). Data Compliance: Evaluate the data privacy flow (UK/EU GDPR, CCPA) concerning how data is handled when an independent contractor conducts outreach on behalf of a third-party corporate client. Document Drafting: Draft our foundational platform documents:Marketplace Terms of Service (shifting account-banning and spam risks entirely to the users/clients).Privacy Policy & Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) defining Data Controller vs. Data Processor roles. Mutual Indemnification clauses.Qualifications Required:Proven track record advising tech startups, SaaS platforms, or B2B marketing compliance.Deep expertise in UK/EU GDPR, global anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL), and tech platform regulations. Familiarity with LinkedIn's developer policies and user agreements is highly preferred.Excellent communication skills to break down complex global legal risks into actionable business workflows. How to Apply: Please outline your experience working with SaaS or marketing technology platforms. In your proposal, briefly mention if you have handled projects involving platform Terms of Service (ToS) violations or cross-border tech risk before.
