IoT Bridge Implementation

Job summary Create a C++23 bridge program which runs on the IoT Gateway, communicates with the IoT layer using the Network Client API, conforms to the below specified requirements and implements the bridge functionality for the specified protocol. Introduction The IoT layer is a central broker which stores and passes information about devices and their properties on our IoT Gateway. Clients connected to the layer can register devices, query information about devices, and send value updates for properties belonging to devices. The layer exposes two APIs; the Application Client and Network Client APIs. For bridges, only the Network Client API is of interest, as it is what the bridges use. A bridge is a separate program, running on the same device, which connects to the layer and to a physical device or bus containing devices. The bridge then allows the layer, and by extension other programs, to interact with these devices. Bridges can register new devices, respond to property read/write requests, send value updates for properties and mark devices as online/offline. The IoT gateway is an embedded Linux device running OpenWrt on a Texas Instruments AM3358 CPU with 512MB RAM. This is comparable to a beaglebone black. We are seeking a skilled freelancer to implement an IoT Bridge for our project. The bridge will connect our IoT devices to the cloud, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange. The ideal candidate will have experience in IoT technologies and be proficient in Python and C++. The project requires a part-time commitment over 1 to 3 months.
