IoT Developer for Customer Monitoring Portal

Description We are looking for an experienced IoT developer to configure and deploy a customer-facing web portal using Ubidots, pulling live device data from the Particle Cloud. Our cellular IoT sensor devices run on the Particle platform (Boron/B-Series), and we want to leverage Ubidots' white-labeling and dashboard capabilities to provide a clean, reliable experience for our customers. A good reference for the clean, simple interface we want is the Mobeye IoT portal (mymobeye.com) — a straightforward portal for device owners to check status, view history, and manage alarm notifications. What you'll build & configure Data Pipeline: Set up the webhook/integration from Particle Cloud to Ubidots to ingest device vitals, sensor states, and events. Global Dashboard: A master list of all devices with at-a-glance status (online/offline, battery, alarm state), searchable and filterable. Device Detail Dashboard: Status panel: Last update time, firmware version, battery level, external power, cellular signal strength (dB), carrier, input states, and communication status. Event history: Time-series charts and timestamped logs of device events (keep-alives, alarms, sensor triggers). Device controls: Bidirectional communication to push configurable parameters back to the Particle device (using Ubidots synthetic variables or controls triggered via Particle API). Alarm Dispatch (Ubidots Events): Set up per-device notification rules alerting specific contacts (SMS/Email) based on events, thresholds, or inactivity. Multi-tenant Accounts: Utilize Ubidots Organizations/Apps features so customers only see their own devices. Include an Admin role to manage all devices, users, and device provisioning. Technical requirements Deep expertise in Ubidots (specifically white-labeling, Ubidots Apps, Organizations, Events, and custom HTML canvas widgets if needed). Deep expertise in Particle Cloud API (webhooks, device vitals, variables, and functions). Understanding of time-series data storage and optimized payload structures. Scale target: 50–500 devices, multi-tenant. Mobile-responsive dashboard layout. Suggested phases Data Ingestion: Particle to Ubidots webhook integration & payload mapping. Dashboards: Build out the master dashboard and device-level detail views. Alerts & Two-Way Comm: Set up Ubidots Events (notifications) and downlink controls to Particle. Multi-Tenancy & Polish: Configure Organizations, user permissions, device provisioning flow, and white-labeling.
