Summary

I am looking for an expert IoT/Embedded Systems Engineer to design and build a functional Proof of Concept (PoC) prototype for an offline, wearable tracking system. The system consists of two parts: a fixed "Base Station" and a wearable "Wristband." The core requirement is that this entire system must function 100% offline with absolutely no reliance on Wi-Fi, cellular networks, or cloud servers. It must be highly reliable in environments with extreme network congestion. Technical Requirements & Scope 1. Hardware Selection: Recommend off-the-shelf development boards (e.g., ESP32 paired with LoRa and GPS modules) that I can easily purchase on Amazon. 2. Offline Long-Range Tracking: The Base Station will broadcast its coordinates via LoRa radio frequencies. The Wristband must receive this signal, calculate the directional heading using an internal digital compass, and display a simple "compass arrow" pointing directly back to the Base Station. 3. Edge AI / Offline Voice Recognition: Integrate a lightweight, local voice module or compressed offline language model (TinyML) on the wristband chip. It must recognize a few specific voice commands/phrases locally on the device without sending data to the internet. 4. Enclosure Design: Design a simple, lightweight 3D-printed enclosure for the wristband components with slots to attach a standard elastic strap. Deliver the completed .STL blueprint files. Deliverables & Project Phases Milestone 1: Hardware architecture recommendation and component shopping list. Milestone 2: 3D CAD modeling (.STL files) for the wristband enclosure. Milestone 3: Core firmware development for the offline tracking, compass logic, and local voice recognition. Milestone 4: A guided, remote deployment session to help me flash the code onto my hardware via USB and verify that the prototype functions perfectly. Note: Full details regarding the brand name, exact target market, and specific voice command scripts will be shared upon a successful interview and acceptance of a standard Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
