Italy-Based Vintage Clothing Sourcing Assistant – Naples / Ercolano / Caserta

I run Electric Essence, a small Australian online vintage clothing business focused mainly on European Y2K fashion. I’m looking for a reliable freelancer who is physically based in or near Naples, Ercolano or Caserta to assist with an initial paid sourcing project. This is not a request to shop at retail vintage stores or expensive curated markets. I want help identifying and approaching businesses earlier in the supply chain, including: Textile sorting and grading facilities Used-clothing warehouses Uncurated wholesale suppliers Textile recycling businesses that sort reusable clothing Suppliers that may allow direct hand-selection or appointments Initial assignment The first stage will be a small paid trial. It may involve: Researching a limited number of suitable facilities and suppliers in Campania Contacting them by phone, WhatsApp or email in Italian Introducing my business professionally and explaining what I’m looking for Asking about buyer access, appointments, pricing, minimum quantities and hand-selection Confirming whether they work with small international buyers Providing clear notes on each conversation and recommending the strongest leads Potentially arranging or attending a supplier visit, but only if agreed separately I will provide guidance on the clothing categories, brands, styles, condition standards and price ranges I’m seeking. Any clothing purchases would require my approval first. Ideal freelancer You should be: Fluent in Italian Physically located within reasonable travelling distance of Naples, Ercolano or Caserta Confident speaking with suppliers, warehouse owners and business operators Comfortable making phone calls and approaching businesses that may not advertise online Reliable, organised, proactive and responsive Able to communicate clearly through WhatsApp or Upwork Capable of travelling locally when an approved visit is required Experience in sourcing, procurement, wholesale, textiles, vintage clothing, second-hand fashion, logistics or supplier relations would be helpful, but local knowledge, confidence and reliability are equally important. This is an initial freelance trial, not a full-time employment role. If the trial goes well, there may be additional paid work involving supplier development, facility visits, garment selection and sourcing assistance.
