Japanese Localization for SaaS & Websites

# Project Description We are looking for a freelancer to support Japanese localization and content refinement for our SaaS/web service. This is not a simple translation project. The primary goal is to optimize existing content so that it reads naturally, clearly, and persuasively for the Japanese market. ## Scope of Work The main responsibilities include: * Revising unnatural or awkward Japanese expressions * Improving product descriptions, pricing pages, CTAs, FAQs, and other user-facing content * Ensuring consistency in terminology and writing style * Adapting content so Japanese users can easily understand and engage with the product * Refining localized content while preserving the original meaning * Conducting quality assurance checks before publication ## Content Types * SaaS / web service content (approximately 100 pages) * English source content and existing Japanese content (including AI-generated text) * i18n localization resource files (JSON and similar formats) ## Deliverables * Updated localization resource files (JSON, Excel, Google Sheets, or another mutually agreed format) * Brief notes explaining major revisions (preferred but optional) ## Estimated Volume Approximately 100 pages, although the actual workload may vary depending on the amount of content per page. ## Timeline We would like to begin as soon as possible. The final schedule can be discussed based on availability. ## Budget Open to proposals. Compensation will be determined based on experience, scope of work, turnaround time, and overall fit. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience localizing SaaS or IT products for the Japanese market * Experience with UI/UX writing * English-to-Japanese translation experience, particularly for product and software content * Experience handling i18n files, JSON resources, or localization workflows ## Additional Notes This project places a strong emphasis on localization rather than literal translation. We are looking for someone who can go beyond word-for-word translation and make thoughtful adjustments based on user experience, clarity, and conversion goals. The ideal candidate understands how Japanese users read and evaluate software products and can optimize content accordingly.
