Kitchen & Joinery Designer (Remote) Company: NT Building Group Australia Pty Ltd Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Kitchen & Joinery Designer to support the design of kitchens, wardrobes, and custom joinery for residential projects in Australia. You will work closely with our Melbourne-based team and our manufacturing factory in China to deliver accurate, practical, and production-ready designs in line with Australian standards. Key Responsibilities Design kitchens, wardrobes, laundry, and other joinery items Produce 3D renderings for client presentations Prepare detailed shop drawings for manufacturing Extract and detail dimensions, materials, and hardware specifications Work closely with the sales team to support quotations and design adjustments Coordinate with the manufacturing factory in China to resolve technical issues and update drawings Revise designs based on client and internal team feedback Extract costing from CAXA software, verify all details (dimensions, materials, hardware), and accurately input data into the company’s quotation template for sales use Ensure all designs comply with Australian construction standards and company workflows Requirements Proven experience in kitchen / cabinetry / joinery design Strong English communication skills (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above) Ability to work directly with an Australian team and a China-based factory Willingness to learn and use in-house software (CAXA) in English Proficiency in at least one design software: SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, 2020, or AutoCAD Solid understanding of cabinetry construction, materials (MDF, laminate, stone), and hardware Ability to read and interpret technical drawings High attention to detail, especially in costing and data accuracy Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently Equipment & Working Requirements Personal computer/laptop capable of running design software (CAD & 3D) Stable internet connection for daily remote work Ability to align working hours with the Australian team when required Training Online training will be provided, including: In-house software (CAXA) Company workflow and processes Australian design and manufacturing standards Salary & Benefits Starting salary: 700 - 1000USD per month Salary review after 6 months based on performance Performance-based bonus / project incentives Flexible remote working arrangement Long-term career opportunity with an Australian company
