Junior WordPress Developer - Ongoing Work, Detail Matters More Than Experience We're a web design agency building custom sites for clients in e-commerce, luxury, hospitality, and wellness. We need junior WordPress developers for ongoing build and maintenance work. We're not looking for someone with ten years of experience. We're looking for someone who notices that the padding is off by 4px before we do. The work Building WordPress sites from Figma designs - pixel-accurate, not "close enough" Custom theme work and page builder builds (Elementor, Bricks, or similar) ACF fields, custom post types, basic PHP template edits Plugin setup, forms, integrations Speed and QA passes: image optimization, broken links, mobile breakpoints, cross-browser checks Ongoing edits and maintenance on live client sites Requirements Solid HTML/CSS. Comfortable in the browser inspector. Working knowledge of WordPress admin, themes, and plugins Basic PHP - enough to read a template and change it without breaking the site Enough JavaScript to wire up simple interactions Git basics English good enough for written back-and-forth on specifics Bonus - Shopify and Webflow Not required, but a real advantage. A chunk of our work lives on these platforms and we'd rather send it to someone already on the team. Shopify: theme edits, Liquid basics, section and block setup, app configuration Webflow: building from Figma, class naming discipline, CMS collections, responsive breakpoints Either one counts. Both is better. Say so up front if you have them. What actually gets you hired Detail. Every build gets reviewed against the design file. If your work comes back with spacing drift, inconsistent type sizes, a mobile menu that jumps, or placeholder text left in the footer, this isn't the right fit. If you're the kind of person who catches that stuff yourself before submitting, we'll keep you busy. Details Remote, hourly, ongoing - steady work, not a one-off Start with a small paid test task Some overlap with US Eastern hours To apply, answer these: Send 2-3 sites you built. Say what you did on each and what platform. Have you built from a Figma file before? How do you check your work against the design? Tell us about a detail on a project that you caught and nobody else did. Shopify or Webflow experience? Which, and how much? Your hourly rate. Start your reply with the word "pixel" so we know you read this.
