KDP Book Cover Designer — Recreate & Improve Series in Canva

We are publishing a 2-volume anti-inflammatory cookbook series on Amazon KDP and need a skilled graphic designer to recreate and refine our existing AI-generated covers directly inside our Canva account (for paperback versions) WHAT WE NEED We have reference covers already approved (AI-generated). Your job is to: 1. Recreate them in Canva at professional quality — clean typography, proper alignment, print-ready output 2. Improve what AI got wrong: font consistency, spacing, text hierarchy, gradient blending 3. Set up the Canva files so we can independently edit text in the future without touching the design THE SERIES - 2 book covers front and back for paperback - Same layout structure across both, different color palette and food imagery - Vol. 1: dark charcoal + warm amber tone, salmon dish - Vol. 2: dark charcoal + Mediterranean blue/gold tone, cod dish - All reference images will be provided REQUIREMENTS - Strong experience with KDP book cover design - Canva Pro proficiency (you will work directly in our account) - Ability to source or recreate food photography matching our reference style (dark slate, dramatic studio lighting, overhead shot) - Clean typographic hierarchy — covers must be readable at Amazon thumbnail size (160px) - Deliver editable Canva files, not flat exports NICE TO HAVE - Experience with Amazon SERP optimization for book covers - Portfolio of cookbook or health/wellness book covers BUDGET Fixed price — please quote per cover or for the full project of 2 covers.
